Sony Xperia XZs benchmarks hit the web!

Geekbench results for the Sony Xperia XZs have surfaced today and the scores look pretty much the same as the Xperia XZ. That makes sense too — after all, both feature same performance hardware. The only difference between the two is a nominal increase in the multi-core scores for the Xperia XZs, which is senseless to wonder over.

The Geekbench listing also confirms that the Xperia XZs will be rocking Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The smartphone takes its place as more of a performance upgrade over the Xperia XZ than as an upcoming flagship.

When compared face to face, the Xperia XZs and the Xperia XZ look the same and carry almost the same internals. I say almost, as the XZs features 4GB of RAM, runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat and features Sony’s 960FPS sensor. That’s some serious slow motion capability to play around with.

You might say it was unnecessary for Sony to relaunch the same device with a barely upgraded specsheet but this does buy Sony some more time to release their upcoming flagship. The Sony Xperia XZs is slated to be released on April 5th and is expected to retail at 4699 Yuan or US $679.
