Every Sony fan knows that the Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact will be launched at the Mobile World Congress 2018, but it seems there’s more to come from the Japanese tech giant.
According to a Facebook post made by Sony Xperia South Africa, the company is lining up three Xperia phones at the MWC. Since we know two of these phones, it remains to be seen what other surprise Sony is lining up for the event.
In fact, another post by Sony Mobile South Africa further hinted that Sony is indeed preparing a surprise at this event, which should have more to do with the third Xperia phone in question. Unfortunately, both posts have since been deleted, which could mean they had some truths in them that came out prematurely.
Before it emerged that Sony will launch the Xperia XZ2 family at the MWC, it was widely expected that the company will unveil a 4K device, perhaps a successor to the Xperia XZ Premium launched at the same event a year ago.
At the moment, we cannot say much about this third Xperia phone, but if anything other than the Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact shows up, we’ll be here to let you know more about it.
