Sony to launch a new flagship phone with full screen display at IFA 2017 in Berlin

We all know that Samsung is slated to launch another flagship device Galaxy Note 8 during this fall. During the same time, Apple’s flagship device iPhone 8 will also be released. Sensing the competition, Sony is also planning to come up with a new flagship phone soon.

As per a new leak, Sony will launch a new flagship handset during IFA 2017 event in Berlin. This device will sport bezel-less display. This will be Sony’s second flagship device this year after Xperia XZ Premium.

The leak mentions that JDI (Japan Display Inc), an LCD technology joint venture by Sony, Toshiba, and Hitachi, has recently taken to mass production of 6-inch ultra-narrow screen display with 18: 9 aspect ratio. This display will adorn the body of Sony’s flagship phone which will be released soon.

The leak also carries an image of the upcoming flagship Sony phone which looks really impressive. The full screen phone is bezel-less except for a narrow strip at the bottom. Regarding the specsheet of the phone, currently there’s no information. However, now that the news has surfaced online, more information about the new Sony phone should start flowing.
