It’s just the second day of the month and Sony has already started pushing out February security update to a handful of its devices namely Xperia XZ, X Performance, Xperia X and X Compact.
The latest firmware update comes with Google security patches. Arriving as build number 39.2.A.0.417 for Xperia XZ and X Performance, the update installs the February security patch in these devices.
For the Xperia X and X Compact, the update arrives as build number 34.2.A.0.311.
At a time when other top brand OEMs viz Samsung, HTC (to name a few) are still in the process of releasing January security patches, hats off to Sony Mobile for updating its Xperia phones with lightning speed.
