Small OTA update rolling out for HTC One X+, improves WiFi connectivity

With the HTC One X getting the update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean today in Europe and Asia, HTC has taken the occasion to push out an over the air (OTA) update to the One X+, the One X’s updated and upraded cousin, as well.

The 24.76 MB updates the device to software version 1.16.401.6, and brings along a few important changes like improved Wi-Fi connectivity and improvements in scrolling performance as well.

Here’s the complete list of changes in the update:

  • Scrolling performance improvement
  • Wi-Fi connection enhancement
  • Car Mode: Music player bug fixed
  • Twitter: fixed inaccessable downloaded pictures
  • Under Map view in Photos, bug for crash fixed
  • Other minor bug fixes

The update is currently rolling out to devices with CID HTC__E44, but might take a little time to show up on your One X+. Of course, you can always download the OTA update and flash it manually if you don’t wish to wait, but you’ll have to do that at your own risk, and you will also need to be on a completely unmodified stock ROM.

Have any of you received the update yet?
