Samsung to launch One UI 2.0 with Android Q

The One UI is undoubtedly Samsung’s most de-cluttered and clean Android skin yet, and the South Korean conglomerate has eyes on making it even better in its next iteration.

According to Sammobile, Samsung will release Android Q for its Galaxy smartphones wrapped up in One UI 2.0. The website has also claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S11 will debut with One UI 2.1.

The report makes perfect sense if we take a look at how Samsung took care of business last time out. The company launched One UI (1.0) with Android Pie, while One UI 1.1 debuted with the Galaxy S10 devices, a few months later.

One UI 1.0 introduced a lot of handy, Samsung exclusive features, and we can hope for more of the same this time, as well. Samsung, so far, has remained tight-lipped about One UI 2.0’s features, but Digital Wellbeing improvements are guaranteed to make their way into the update.

Samsung has been sharp with their updates lately, but we probably won’t see the new Android Q-powered One UI before the end of the year.
