Samsung to bring Android 10 to Galaxy S8, claims employee

Samsung Galaxy S8 mobile phone

South Korean OEM, Samsung is determined to break its own Android OS rollout record this year, preparing to release the software update to all supported flagship devices by the end of the year.

As expected, the Galaxy S10 and Note 10 devices are leading the pack, with both the devices already receiving multiple One UI 2 beta updates. Samsung 2018 flagships, S9 and Note 9, too, are in line to get the taste of Android 10. Galaxy S8 and Note 8 have been left out of the program as they have already received two Android OS upgrades.

Disappointed users, who are eager to try out the latest version of Android, have been bombarding the company with questions asking why their precious flagship isn’t on Samsung’s Android 10-update list. And one such discontent Galaxy S8 user has gotten a piece of unexpected good news from a Samsung customer care representative.

According to the Samsung employee (via Sammobile), the company indeed has plans for the 2017 S-series flagship, claiming that Android 10-based One UI 2 is in the works. He didn’t give away the release date or any other detail, so, we have no means to verify the news.

Samsung customer care executives have spread false news in the past, so, unless the Korean multinational comes out and gives a statement, all info related to Android 10 should be taken with a grain of salt.
