Samsung Stratosphere 2 image leaks on Twitter, shows off its Menu key!

The existence of the QWERTY keyboard-toting Samsung Stratosphere 2 was confirmed earlier when a Verizon listing was leaked, giving us a look at the device and some of its specs. Thanks to Twitter account @evleaks, we now have another look at the Stratosphere 2, from both the front and back.

Something to note is that Samsung have followed the Android 4.0+ guidelines and put in back, home, and multitasking keys on the device, but have also added a menu key to the mix. Now while it may not look so good, it will actually be quite useful as one won’t have to reach the top of the display to open the options menu in apps that put the menu button at the top (following the Android app design guidelines), which is usually not so comfortable to reach on devices with 4″ and larger displays. Samsung just can’t seem to let go of the menu button, something which was deprecated since Android 3.0, but in this case it won’t be that much of a problem for naysayers.

The Stratosphere 2 is confirmed to have a 4″ Super AMOLED display and 4G LTE connectivity, and more details should crop up sooner or later. We’ll be sure to let you know when that happens.
