Samsung sets Android Pie release date for the Galaxy M10 and M20

Samsung Galaxy M20 teaser

Samsung will launch the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 this coming week and ahead of their debut, the Korean company has already revealed its intentions as far as Android 9 Pie update is concerned.

The Galaxy M10 and M20 are the first of their kind and are expected to help Samsung regain relevance in the budget and midrange segment that has comfortably been taken over by Xiaomi and more recently, HMD Global’s Nokia.

We’ve already seen a great deal of the duo, including images that show off a teardrop-style notch in what Samsung calls Infinity V display. Details of the specs have also been in the public domain for some time now, revealing that the M10 and M20 will run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

Now, in an updated Android Pie roadmap, Samsung says the Galaxy M10 and M20 will receive the One UI-inspired OS in August 2019. Interestingly, it has been claimed the M20 will still debut with the new One UI on top of Oreo.
