Samsung releases Galaxy J7 2016 Android Oreo update in Brazil, Trinidad & Tobago and UAE

It’s been known for quite a while that the Galaxy J7 (2016) will receive its second OS upgrade this year. And that Android Oreo update has, in fact, started hitting the phone in a few countries. Now, new countries to have joined the list are Brazil, Trinidad & Tobago, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Android 8.1 Oreo update is up for the Galaxy J7 2016 in Brazil as version J710MNVJU4CRK1, in Trinidad & Tobago as version J710MNUBU4CRK1, and in the United Arab Emirates as version J710FXXU5CRK3. In case, you are a user based in these countries and holds the same model, you are certainly eligible for downloading the current Android 8.1 Oreo update.

It must be noted that before the latest wave, the Oreo update had made rounds in some of the European countries. However, before the end of this year, the update will gradually arrive in other markets as well. Besides Oreo, the update also installs the latest Android security patch for the month of November 2018.

The Android Galaxy J7 (2016) was launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow in March 2016 and received its first Android Nougat update in August last year. With the update to Android 8.1 Oreo, the South Korean tech titan has made sure that the users of the Galaxy J7 (2016) – a commercially successful device – aren’t left high and dry. However, this will be the last major OS update for them.
