Samsung launches Galaxy A7 2017 variant with Bixby support in South Korea

Samsung has finally released Galaxy A7 2017 in South Korea via SK Telecom. The device is up for pre-order in the country starting today.

The Galaxy A7 2017 comes in Black Sky, Gold Sand and Peach Cloud colors. The factory price is set at 588,500 won ($514 approx) and the smartphone is available at T World online store.

Samsung launched the 2017 version of Galaxy A7 in January at the CES event alongside Galaxy A5 2017 and A3 2017. This was followed by its release in Brazil, Malaysia, Philippines, India, Indonesia and other countries.

The Galaxy A7 is the first in the Galaxy A series to support Samsung’s artificial intelligence assistant Bixby. It also features a fingerprint scanner, IP68 rating which makes its waterproof and dustproof.

Commenting on the launch, Kim Sung-soo, head of SK Telecom said:

 We are launching the Galaxy A7 because of the increasing number of customers who want to take advantage of the smart phone features and reasonable price.

Powered by octa-core Exynos 7880 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz, the Galaxy A7 2017 sports 5.7-inch Super AMOLED full-HD display. Under the hood, there’s 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable internal storage. The phone rocks 16 MP/16MP camera combo with f/1.9 aperture and is shipped with Android Marshmallow.
