Samsung is rolling out a new firmware update to Galaxy Tab S3. The update installs the latest monthly security patch update on the Tab S3 and is being rolled out as we speak. Notably, only the LTE variant of the Tab S3 is receiving the update.

Arriving as build number T825XXU1AQD6, the new firmware brings the April security patch alongwith regular bug fixes and system improvements. Although a minor update, it is a recommended one as it patches the latest Google Android security update.

As the update is being rolled out over the air, it may take a while to reach your Galaxy Tab S3 device. If waiting is not your thing, you may want to check for it right away which you can do by heading to Settings > About device > System updates. But before hitting the download button, ensure that your handset is sufficiently charged and connected to a WiFi network.

Other Samsung devices which are also receiving the April security patch are Galaxy A5, Galaxy A9 Pro, Galaxy Note Pro, Galaxy J1 Ace, Galaxy C9 Pro. Samsung is also rolling out Nougat update to Galaxy Tab S2 with April security patch update.
