Samsung Galaxy S9 to rock a Reimagined Camera

Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+

It’s only two months left between now and the release of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and for sure, not so much can remain locked in the coffers of the Korean company.

Up to now, a lot has been leaked about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus handsets but until the pair is announced, brace yourself for even more discoveries. The latest comes from South Korea, where Samsung has filed a trademark with the country’s Intellectual Property Office for the slogan “The Camera. Reimagined.”

Through the GalaxyClub, keen observers at SamMobile were able to uncover that Samsung intends to use this slogan in its smartphone business. While there is no clarity how this will come into play, one theory that does seem to make sense is that of the Galaxy S9.

As noted, the S9 and S9+ will be here in a couple of months. With the knowledge we already possess regarding the two, we can guarantee that one area that should see drastic improvements is the camera. This might not be entirely true for the standard Galaxy S9, but it’s definitely true for the bigger Galaxy S9+, which is expected to rock a dual-lens camera. With this in mind, it’s easy to see where “The Camera. Reimagined” slogan is heading – or coming from – but of course, this is just one side of the story.

It’s not the first time a Samsung trademark is showing up online. Like many others in the past, don’t be surprised if this one never materializes. Alternatively, it may take longer than expected for it to show up, which could also mean the Galaxy S9 won’t be part of it as speculated by the Samsung-focused publication. Still, if this slogan is to appear anywhere, there’s no better product than the S9 – or maybe the Note 9.

In short, at this point in time, this trademark could mean just about anything, including representing a different Samsung product. We can only hope that it has everything to do with the rumored camera improvements on the Galaxy S9 and S9+.

Samsung is expected to announce the S9 and S9 Plus at the MWC 2018 event in February.
