Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo might get Nougat update very soon

It looks like Samsung is currently working on the Android Nougat update for the company’s two-year-old Galaxy S5 Neo.

The smartphone was spotted paying a visit to the GFXBench benchmarking site with Android 7.0 Nougat onboard. Which in other words means, the company is currently testing the Nougat update for the Galaxy S5 Neo and could roll it out very soon.

Of course, there’s no specific date available for the official roll out of the update just yet. But, the fact that the device made an appearance on the benchmarking site suggests that we are not very far away from the D-Day.

Regardless, with the update, Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo users should be able to make use of all the features Nougat brings along. Speaking of which, you’ll get the multi-window split-screen mode, revamped notification shade, and improved Settings menu.

The battery saving Doze mode has also been improved on Nougat. Plus, there will be various system and performance improvements that come along with the software update. So, make sure to keep an eye on this space for further updates.
