Samsung releases another bug-fixer Galaxy S10 May update build ASE7 (over ASE6)

Well, it’s been well documented how bad the original May security update (build ASE5) for the global Galaxy S10 sets was. A large number of Exynos-powered S10 sets were affected by the update before Samsung pulled the update in few days of the rollout.

Samsung fixed the bugs with the ASE5 update and released a new update as build ASE6. That restored the device’s performance by removing the lag and crash issues of the previous one, but it seems Samsung was not done here.

Various users on Reddit are now reporting that they are receiving the ASE7 update on their Galaxy S10 handsets over ASE6 with the same changelog for the third time (starting with ASE5, you know).

ASE7 OTA update

Samsung hasn’t given us a new changelog for the ASE7 update, still on May 2019 security patch BTW, so we would be inclined to believe that Samsung found an issue even with the ASE6 update that they are now doing away with the ASE7 OTA.

We have the ASE6 update installed on our Galaxy S10 as we are not experiencing any issue with it.

What about you? Are you experiencing any issues with the ASE6 update?
