Samsung Galaxy Premier shows itself on AnTuTu benchmark with a mediocre score of 7736

Samsung Galaxy Premier

The Samsung Galaxy Premier, a device that continues to show its face in rumors and leaks but has no official claims to back it up yet, has shown up in an AnTuTu benchmark, getting an average score of 7736 points. The model number is mentioned as GT-i9268,  which is probably the China variant of the Galaxy Premier (which sports the model number i9260).

According to a previous leak, the Galaxy Premier is expected to use the same hardware as the Galaxy Nexus, but with an upgraded 8MP camera and also a microSD card slot, though without the Nexus branding (nor the satisfaction of fast direct updates from Google but with Samsung’s own TouchWiz-ed version of Android 4.1). The processor will also supposedly get a bump to 1.5GHz from 1.2GHz, and the higher 7736 score compared to the Galaxy Nexus’ score of ~6300 seems to be a direct result of the processor speed increase.

Of course, this still doesn’t tell us much about the Galaxy Premier apart from what we already know, except for a benchmark score that indicates that it will at least be faster than the Galaxy Nexus. But hey, one thing is for certain – it will not be as disappointing as the Galaxy S3 Mini turned out to be.
