Samsung Galaxy Note 9 bug freezes camera, users in the U.S. complain

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 pie beta

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is arguably the most unique ‘Note’ device there is, armed with the uber-cool functional S-Pen. Samsung’s flagship note device, however, has been criticized every now and then for developing bugs all of a sudden than leaves users stranded until Samsung comes up with a fix through updates.

This time is no different as some users in the U.S. have reported that Galaxy Note 9 phone’s rear camera freezes in the middle of a photography session or while taking videos. The same is happening on third-party apps too, confirming that it is indeed the phone which is at fault and not the apps.

This bug is affecting both the unlocked versions and carrier-locked variants of the Galaxy Note 9 in the U.S. A temporary solution is to clear the system partition cache but it only works for a couple of days. Samsung’s US community forum has been flooded with 58 pages (and counting) of complaints regarding the same.

The good news is that a Samsung moderator on the forum replied to these comments with the assurance that an update was in the works to specifically fix this issue. However, the detailed timeline for the update or the reason behind this bug was not delineated upon. So, it’s anyone’s guess at the moment as to when will there be a permanent fix for the problem.
