Samsung has begun rolling out KitKat update for Galaxy Note 10.1 (GT-N8000) in Germany. We haven’t seen the update in action on a Galaxy Note 10.1 yet, but we’re pretty sure the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update will include most of the goodies that Samsung is releasing to its other devices with KitKat updates.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 KitKat update is currently rolling out in Germany and it should be only a matter of time for it to release in other parts of the world. However, the German and International model of the Galaxy Note 10.1 goes by the same model number GT-N8000. So even if you decide to flash this German Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to your international variant of Galaxy Note 10.1, we don’t see any harm in that. Just flash back the KitKat update of your region when it arrives, but until then you can enjoy this German build. If you desperately want KitKat, that is!
Warranty may be void of your device if you follow the procedures given on this page. You only are responsible for your device. We won’t be liable if any damage occurs to your device and/or its components. Before you begin with guide instructions below, make sure your android device is adequately charged — at least 50% battery of the device. To make sure your device is eligible with this, you must first confirm its model no. in ‘About device’ option under Settings. Another way to confirm model no. is by looking for it on the packaging box of your device. It must be GT-N8000! Do NOT use the procedures discussed here on any Galaxy model (including the Galaxy NOTE tablets) or any other device of Samsung or any other company. You have been warned! Back up important data and stuff before you start playing around here as there are chances you might lose your apps and app-data (app settings, game progress, etc.), and in rare case, files on the internal memory, too. For help on Backup and Restore, check out our exclusive page on that linked right below. ► ANDROID BACK UP AND RESTORE GUIDE: APPS AND TIPS You must have proper and working driver installed on your windows computer to be able to successfully flash stock firmware on your Galaxy NOTE 10.1. nice guide, but note 10.1 hasnt removable battery! neither home button. so if it fails, you have a bricked device? i wonder, did you flash it or just remove s3 and replaced it with note10.1 from some other text?? none of these “help tips” doesnt apply to the device itself…
Really sorry for the wrong information, the guide has been corrected with right way to boot into download mode and the tips now doesn’t mention removing battery. Instead, you can force boot the tablet into download mode by pressing “Volume Down + Power” button for troubleshooting if you get Fail in Odin or you get stuck at setup connection.
