Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime in India now gets the Android 8.0 Oreo update

Good news for users of the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime in India, which according to recent reports has started receiving the Android 8.0 Oreo update.

The new build is reaching users over-the-air (OTA), so make sure to keep an eye for the notification alerting you a new update is available. Or, if you’re getting quite impatient, you can manually check to see if it has arrived.

Also remember to back up all your data before proceeding to download and install the update. It’s also recommended that you use a stable Wi-Fi connection to do that. The new build updates the software on the device to version G610FDDU1CRI4 and weights around 975MB.

Once installed, owners of the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime will be able to experience Android Oreo which according to Samsung “brings exciting new features from Samsung and Google based on feedback from users like you.”
