After launching the 2017 iterations of the Galaxy A series, Samsung is all set to make the Galaxy J 2017 series official, as per a new leak. The Galaxy J3 (2017) and Galaxy J7 (2017) will be launched in the US soon, reports reliable tipster Evan Blass.
Coming from the tipster’s Twitter handle, we get to know that Galaxy J3 (2017) will be launched on AT&T prepaid and Cricket Wireless as the Galaxy Express Prime 2 while the Galaxy J7 (2017) will carry three monikers. It will be available via Sprint, Boost, and Virgin soon as the Galaxy J7 Perx, on Verizon as Galaxy J7 and on TracFone as Galaxy J7 Sky Pro.
The Galaxy J3 (2017) was spotted on Geekbench early this month where its detailed specsheet was listed. It will sport a 5-inch HD display. Under the hood it should carry a a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 425 processor, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB internal storage. The OS on board would be the Android 7.0 Nougat while camera wise there’s a 5-megapixel rear snapper and 2-megapixel front shooter.
Coming to the Galaxy J7 (2017), which cleared Wi-Fi certification this month itself, it is rumored to sport a 5.5-inch Full HD display, 2.2GHz Exynos 7870 octa-core processor, 2GB or 3GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5MP selfie snapper. The battery capacity is of 3,000mAh.
Although the price of the two handsets hasn’t been specified, we expect them to be in the mid-range category hovering a little above last year’s J7 series.
