On this page, we’re getting you software updates for the Samsung Galaxy C5 family with the changelog that specifies what changes a particular update comes packing, along with a download link to its firmware so that you can install it all by yourself.
Galaxy C5 Android 9 Pie update

Whereas the C5 comes with Android Marshmallow preinstalled, the C5 Pro has Nougat out of the box. The former has already been updated to Nougat, but no word on if and when Oreo will arrive. As for the latter, an update to Oreo has already been released and while we expect a second major OS upgrade in the shape of Android 9 Pie, we cannot be sure whether this will materialize. This is because, as usual, Samsung hasn’t said a thing regarding the Pie prospects of this device.

Samsung One UI
Given that Samsung won’t be rolling out official Pie updates to any of the Galaxy C5 and C5 Pro handsets, there won’t be an official update to One UI. Since the global availability of both phones is scanty, we don’t expect unofficial updates to One UI either, but of course, we will update this space just in case anything new pops up.

Well, to be fair to C series, it’s pretty impressive, even though Samsung doesn’t like pushing timely updates to C5 and C5 Pro. We’re are hopeful that at some point, the C5 will get an update to Oreo, the second major OS upgrade, now that the OS is already available for the C5 Pro. But when exactly this will happen remains a mystery.
