Samsung Galaxy C10 to be first Samsung dual camera phone?

samsung galaxy c10

Well, what do we know? For all the anticipation regarding the Samsung dual camera device — we earlier thought it would be Galaxy C9 2017 — it seems Samsung has an altogether new Android smartphone in the works to equip it with dual lens at rear, and is rumored as Galaxy C10.

Well-known twitter handle going by the name of mmmdj_china, who revealed earlier than the first dual camera phone from the Korean Giant would feature Mate 9 Pro like camera setup at the backup — vertically aligned cameras, unlike Honor 8’s horizontal setup — has today spilled some tidbits on Galaxy C10 specs.

Well, we’re looking at a Snapdragon 660 processor powered device here, but nothing more as regards specifications of Galaxy C10 is available at the moment. Yep, it’s safe to presume that it will rock cool 6GB of RAM — given C9 Pro also has it — but its really the dual camera thing, which is a first for Samsung, has us most excited here.

What about you?

Oh, before we forget, the Galaxy C10 would support Samsung Bixby. Yep, it says there that it would come with a dedicated Bixby button, too. Cool? Especially when you can remap it to Google Assistant, right?

Samsung Galaxy C10 Specifications

Here’s what we know about the Galaxy C10 specs. Nothing is official, though, of course.

  • Snapdragon 660 processor
  • Dual camera
  • Bixby
  • Model no. SM-C9150

Latest rumor indicates that there would no infinity display on Galaxy C10 — which is fine, as after all, the next Samsung device to rock that cool display should be Note 8, not only because Note series is more deserving than C series, but it badly needs that too after the Note 7 fiasco.

If you’re looking for a Samsung phone in mid- or upper mid-range with infinity display, well, you gotta wait until 2018 we guess. Meanwhile, you can surely look forward to Oppo Find 9 if Samsung-only is not your thing, as that phone is packing in one cool infinity-kind of display, along with the power of Snapdragon 835 processor, and would cost about the same as Galaxy C10.

Expected Galaxy C10 release

Well, it’s rumored to release in Q3 2017.

While nothing is set in stone yet, we wouldn’t be surprised if Galaxy C10 is launched by Samsung in China by July end.

As regards India and other countries, well, there is no surety Samsung would even launch the C10 outside China yet.

Given the model no., we would understand if you think of the C10 as a Galaxy C9 refresh, but we do think the addition of dual camera to C9 with SD660 chipset at heart — plus, Bixby, ya’know! — is more than enough to make us look forward to Samsung C10.

Thoughts? You think Samsung could call it C10 Pro?
