Samsung Galaxy A6+ gets Android 9 Pie update

Galaxy A6 Plus

It’s not your usual dose to see a smartphone vendor keeping its promise with software update timelines. This is especially true for Samsung, the leading smartphone vendor across the globe, but things have been quite different with respect to Android 9 Pie rollout.

While confirming the Pie release dates for the Galaxy M20 and M10, Samsung also gave out details of when to expect the OS to arrive on the Galaxy A6 and A6+. The duo, as per the roadmap, should receive the One UI update this month and indeed, the latter’s Pie update is rolling out in Europe.

More specifically, the Polish variant of the Galaxy A6+ has a ready Android Pie firmware as version A605FNXXU3BSC6, which not only installs the new Samsung One UI, but also the latest security patch for March 2019.

The rollout has just started out in the European country and should spread out to more regions using the SM-A605FN variant of the Galaxy A6+. Those using models SM-A605F, SM-A605G and SM-A605GN should begin receiving the update in the coming weeks.
