Last month, Samsung announced its Android 10-based One UI 2 beta program for the Galaxy S10e, S10 and S10+ users in Korea which was soon followed by one for the Note 10 and Note 10+ users. The Galaxy Note 9 will now be the latest device to run One UI 2 beta as Samsung has started accepting registrations for users in Korea.
According to a Samsung Community forum post (via XDA Developers), the One UI 2.0 beta program is ready for the Galaxy Note 9 and it’s based on Android 10. The beta program is currently live in Korea and we can expect it to be expanded to other regions including the US, the UK, India, Germany, France and Spain. With this release, we could also be nearing the commencement of One UI 2 beta program for last year’s Galaxy S9 series smartphones.
The One UI 2.0 beta update will include all the new features from Android 10 including a system-wide dark mode and gesture navigation. One UI 2.0 will also bring a touch of Samsung to the Galaxy Note 9 with Live Transcribe, new refinements on the Smart Lock screen, caller notification and volume bar.
How to join the One UI 2 beta program?
- Open the Samsung Members app. If your device doesn’t have it, you could download it from Google Play.

- Sign in with your credentials.
- Upon landing on the welcome page after signing in, tap on the notification icon in the top-right corner.
- Go to Notices.

Tap on the One UI 2 Beta Registration notification.
- Submit your application and check whether you got in.
- If accepted, wait for around 15 mins before checking for updates manually.
- To check for the beta updates, go to Settings > Software update > Download updates manually.
