Samsung announces Galaxy Tab S5e and Tab A 10.1 for the US

Android tablets have a small niche in the market for US household products but Samsung’s not giving up soon. The South Korean giant is now making available its two new Android tablets in the US market, the Galaxy Tab S5e and Galaxy Tab A 10.1, as they announced that the devices will hit the metaphorical shelf of US stores on April 26th.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019 edition) is priced at $229. It carries a 2GB RAM and 32GB internal memory and functions with an Android 9 Pie, powered by Exynos 7904 octa-core processor.

The tablet features a notch-less 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels. The main camera is 8MP and the front camera is 5MP and the tablet is available in three bold colors: Black, Gold and Silver.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e, however, is priced higher at $339. It comes with a 10.5-inch display, powered at 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution. There are two versions available: one with the 6GB RAM and 128GB internal memory, and another one with a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory.

The camera on Tab S5e is also superior to that of Tab A 10.1, as it features a 13MP main camera and 8MP selfie shooter.

The Tab S5e is also powered by the Exynos 7904 processor and Android 9 Pie, and comes in the same set of colors: Black, Gold and Silver.

Both of these products will be available from major retailers, which are expected to include Amazon and Best Buy, along with Samsung’s own site.

Samsung is also offering a pre-order bonus for those who order the Galaxy Tab S5e from their own site from April 12th to April 25th. This bonus is in the form of The Samsung SmartThings Hub, which would be pretty slick to own if you always liked remote-controlled things.
