In an age of bezel-less smartphones, it is a refreshing change to see Samsung introduce flip phones in China. The Korean giant has announced two flip phones in the country — Galaxy Folder 2 and G9298 aka Leadership 8.
Both these flip phones first came to our notice in May when one of them (Galaxy Folder 2) got released in South Korea and the other (G9298) passed FCC and TENAA certification. The latter has been the target of a number of leaks in the recent past. Now both these have entered China and will be available from China Mobile.
Leadership 8 sports impressive 4.2-inch full HD Super AMOLED dual screen on the outside as well as on the inside. The phone is made of aviation-grade aluminum alloy and is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor.

The camera department rocks 12MP rear sensor and a 5MP selfie shooter. There’s a 2,300mAh battery to keep the lights on. Other features include a multi-function configurable hotkey, S Voice, Samsung Pay, and a Secure Folder.
Coming to the other device, Galaxy Folder 2 features 3.8-inches TFT LCD display with WVGA resolution. This mid-range handset from Samsung rocks quad-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor hooked on to 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. This dual-SIM device draws fuel from a 1,950mAh battery and houses an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter.
Both the devices have been made available in Black color. The date of availability and price has not been revealed. Although it seems that Leadership 8 will remain China-exclusive, Galaxy Folder 2 has already been launched in South Korea where it is retailing for for 297,000 won or $260.
