Rogers to roll out Galaxy J3 Nougat update by October 27

Samsung Galaxy J3 users in Canada, you would be delighted to know that your device will soon taste Android Nougat. The Galaxy J3 is currently running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

As per Rogers, the Nougat update will start rolling out from October 27th. You will get a notification when the Nougat update arrives on your device. You can also check for the update manually by going into Settings – About – Software.

The Nougat update for the Galaxy J3 will bring features such as split mode, several performance improvements, better battery life, redesigned notifications, and much more. Several bug fixes would also be included in the update.

Also, the latest Android operating system, Oreo is out since a month now. Sadly, the chances of Galaxy J3 receiving Oreo update look grim. You can check Oreo update details for other Samsung phones here.

    1. Probably not. Different chipset (Spreadtrum CPU in the J320F vs Exynos CPU in the J320W) means that Samsung doesn’t have access to device drivers compatible with Nougat for the J320F.
