November security update now available for Realme 2 and Realme C1

Realme recently announced on Twitter firmware updates for Realme 2 and Realme C1 phones that bring the phones to the latest November security patch level. The updates, apparently, also fix some bugs, details of which haven’t been divulged so we don’t exactly know the improvements we can expect to see.

You can download the update by tapping on the “Settings” icon followed by “About phone”, “System updates”, “Check for updates” and finally “Download now”. Once the download is complete, tap on “Install now” and your phone will do the rest. Once it reboots, it will notify you of the successful installation.

It is worth noting, however, that this update should not be confused with the ColorsOS 5.2 update that’s slated to release only next month on Realme 2. Although there’s no official word about it, we can expect a similar timeline for the Realme C1 phone as well. Realme 1, however, is slated to receive the stable ColorsOS 5.2 update on November 25.

Meanwhile, Realme 2 users can expect a different update on November 20 that will bring a whole new set of features to the phone. That particular changelog mentions adding single-swipe notification dismiss, developer options’ flashing, and the headset icon features to the phone.

In fact, it’s a great strategy from Oppo to make its presence felt across all price points under different brand names and even manages to keep things fresh and exciting for both the company as well as consumers.
