Oppo Joy 3 with low-end specs announced officially

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo has launched a new device called Oppo Joy 3. The device is listed on the official website of the vendor without the price and availability information.

Detailing on its specifications, the Oppo Joy 3 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system wrapped with Color OS 2.0 UI. It is a dual SIM smartphone that boasts of a 4.5 inch FWVGA IPS display carrying a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels resulting in a pixel density of 217 pixels per inch.

Under its hood, the Oppo Joy 3 is equipped with a 1.3 GHz quad core MediaTek MT6582 processor that is backed by a moderate 1 GB of RAM and Mali-400 MP2 graphics unit. For storage, the device packs a low 4 GB of native storage space that can be expanded up to 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. This is annoying as the entry level smartphones launched lately are drifting away to 8 GB of storage space.

The imaging aspects of the Oppo Joy 3 include a 5 MP primary camera at its back with an aperture of f/2.4. Up front, there is a 2 MP selfie snapper on the Oppo smartphone. The camera hardware is accompanied by software aspects including Beautify, Pure Image 2.0+ and Audio Photo. There is a double exposure feature that overlaps two images.

The Oppo Joy 3 has easy screen-off gestures letting users to double tap on the screen to wake up the device, draw a circle to access the camera or slide up or down with two fingers to play or pause music.

Connectivity wise, the Oppo Joy 3 features 3G, Wi-Fi, micro USB, Bluetooth, USB-OTG, GPS/A-GPS and dual SIM functionality. The device is energized by a 2,000 mAh battery.
