It’s official! OnePlus 5T is coming on 16 November

The bezel-less successor to the recently launched OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T will be unveiled on 16 November in Brooklyn, New York.

OnePlus 5T will have two firsts to its name. Firstly, OnePlus 5T will be the first device from OnePlus to feature a bezel-less full-screen display and secondly, it is the first OnePlus device that will be launched in Brooklyn, New York.

The Co-founder of OnePlus, Carl Pei took to the company’s forum to announce the big event. While the fans in New York can watch the event live by purchasing the tickets for $40 starting November 8, the OnePlus 5T launch event will be available as a live telecast too that can be viewed by users worldwide.

Interestingly, Carl Pei has also provided information regarding the availability of the device. The OnePlus 5T will first go on sale in North America and Europe starting November 21. OnePlus is holding a special flash sale for Indian users on the same date i.e. November 21, followed by the actual release on November 28. In China, OnePlus 5T will go on sale from December 1.

According to the rumors and leaks, OnePlus 5T will flaunt a 6-inch screen with a 2:1 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. Thanks to the full-screen display, there will be no hardware buttons up front and the fingerprint sensor will be present at the back of the device.

Last year too, OnePlus released the slightly improved OnePlus 3T over OnePlus 3, and this year we have OnePlus 5T. Other than design changes and minor improvements, OnePlus 5T will be similar to OnePlus 5 in terms of software and hardware. There’s a high chance that the OnePlus 5T might look extremely similar to the recently launched Oppo R11s. In case you are worried about headphone jack, OnePlus 5T would include a headphone jack.
