It’s here folks! The official Android 8.0 Oreo update for the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T is now rolling out to users. The update is available as an OTA for those running Nougat or the Open beta build of Oreo. This is a big update, so it might take a while to reach everyone out there.

OxygenOS 5.0 is the official build for the devices, and it includes several new features and improvements. The main being the upgrade to Android 8.0 Oreo. The launcher also gets some design changes in the form of notification dots, and a new design for app folders. With the new update, you can now upload your photos directly to Shot on OnePlus. These are all of the new changes and features in the Oreo update. The update comes with September Android security patch, which is disappointing as Google has already released the November patch.

Of course, you could encounter some minor bugs on this stable build, but this is the most polished version of Oreo for the OnePlus 3 and 3T. Also, this is the last official system update that these devices will receive. As of now, only some users will be getting this OTA update. Over the course of the next few days, more regions will see the update notification.
