The update is Marshmallow based and will reach your device in a few days with a small percentage of users receiving the update today itself. A broader roll out will begin in a few days. In case you are too impatient to wait that long, you have an alternate option. Go to Settings > About device > System update to check for new OxygenOS 3.6.0 manually.

Notably, last month OnePlus officially confirmed that  it won’t be rolling out the Nougat update to the OnePlus 2. As such, the users of this device will have to remain content with the monthly security patch updates.
