Galaxy S9 pie update

It’s a good day for Samsung S9 and S9+ users in the US who are craving some Pie. The official Android 9 Pie beta update for the device has leaked and you can download it too, if you want.

The new build brings software version U3ZRJ7 on board of the Galaxy S9 handsets. But first, you need to make sure you have software version ARI6 on your device before you proceed to install the new beta. Also, note that the update is compatible only with the Snapdragon-powered versions of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+.

The full software version is G960USQU3ZRJ7 for the Galaxy S9, while it’s G965USQU3ZRJ7 for the bigger variant, the Galaxy S9+.

Since this is a beta build, it’s bound to have some bugs, so you should proceed with caution and install at your own risk.

Samsung is expected to launch its Android 9 Pie beta program for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ any day now. When that happens, Samsung will start pushing the exact same beta update in OTA form to owners of Galaxy S9 devices who have subscribed to receive the beta via Samsung’s Members app.

So if you want, you can wait for the OTA. Samsung might start the beta in the US by the end of the month, so fingers crossed!
