Nook HD+ Price — $299 for 32GB and $269 for 16GB variant

Barnes and Noble today announced the 9-inch Nook HD+ tablet, which sports a 1920×1280 display, a dual-core 1.5GHz TI OMAP4470 processor, 1GB RAM, stereo speakers enhanced with SRS TruMedia audio, and a 6,000 mAh battery that provides up to 10 hours of reading time or 9 hours of HD video playback.

With those specs, you’d think these tablets would cost quite a high amount. But since Barnes and Noble is targeting the Amazon Kindle Fire HD tablets, they’ve priced it at a similar level, at $299 for 32GB and $269 for the 16GB variant. That’s quite an affordable pricing any way you look at it, and it’s going to be great for the consumer as they have a choice between different affordable yet powerful tablets, with two amazing content ecosystems like Amazon’s and Barnes and Noble’s backing them.

The Nook HD+ will go on sale some time in October at the above mentioned prices.
