Nokia has been on a roll this year after releasing its mid-range lineup. The company’s bet with HMD Global so far seems to have paid off with the OEM bringing out robust smartphones without having compromised on the Nokia legacy itself.
The Nokia 9, which is the upcoming flagship, has now cleared certification at Bluetooth SIG. This device is currently identified by its model number TA-1004. This seems a bit different from the Nokia 9 that showed up at Geekbench today and another model number from yesterday. Perhaps this indicates that different variants of the flagship will be available based on region.
But now that we’ve come this far, the specs have pretty much been set down in stone. From what we know to date, the Nokia 9 may run on the Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB of RAM, have a QuadHD display and a 13MP+13MP dual camera setup. An older GeekBench listing may also indicate the presence of an 8GB RAM variant.

A previous report also suggested that Nokia 9 may sport characteristics of the iPhone 4’s box like body. The flagship, just like its younger siblings, will run on a near stock version of Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Given the fact that Nokia has boldly stepped into the Android territory marked by Samsung, LG and the like, the OEM has promised updates to Android O for all of its currently released devices.
