Nokia 6 releasing in US on July 10 for $229

HMD Global, the firm behind the latest Nokia smartphones has announced that it will release the most advanced Nokia smartphone, Nokia 6, in the US on July 10.

The device will be sold exclusively from Amazon initially and will be available in two color options of matte black and silver. For the unaware, the Nokia 6 was announced with four color options: matte black, silver, blue and copper. The other two colors i.e. blue and copper will be on sale starting from August 18th.

HMD Global has set the price of Nokia 6 at $229, which is less than what it costs in China. The reason behind this price drop is because the Nokia 6 US version comes with a lower amount of RAM and internal memory as compared to the global versions.

Nokia 6 flaunts a 1080p 5.5-inch display covered with 2.5D Gorilla Glass. Inside, Nokia 6 uses Snapdragon 430 processor and 3000mAh battery. It runs on Android 7.1 out of the box, which provides stock Android experience.

As for imaging capabilities, the Nokia 6 features 16MP rear camera with dual LED flash, and 8MP front camera. Nokia 6 also features stereo speakers and NXP TFA9891 amplifiers.

According to HMD, the Nokia 6 will offer full support for 4G LTE for T-Mobile customers only. While AT&T will be partially supported, the Sprint and Verizon subscribers are completely out of luck.
