Nokia 6 gets an update with improved system stability and UI enhancements

nokia 6 update

A new software update appears to be rolling out to some Nokia 6 users, with a larger roll-out coming soon. The update brings some UI enhancements and improves system stability, according to the change-log.

Carrying the build number 00WW_3_72A, the update weighs about 149MB and is being delivered over the air. It seems the update also installs the latest November Android security patch on the device. Apart from that, we do not know of any other changes included in the update.

This is not the Android Oreo update for the Nokia 6, so don’t get too excited. Nokia is yet to start the Oreo beta program for the Nokia 6 and the Nokia 5. The company recently released the Oreo update for the Nokia 8.

If you’ve got this update on your Nokia 6, we suggest you install it right away. Make sure your phone has more than 50 percent charge, and is connected to a Wi-Fi network, before downloading the update. If you notice any changes in this update, do let us know in the comments. Mostly though, this is only a minor security update.

  1. Got this update on my Australian version two days ago. It seems to have extended the battery life by a fair amount, running apex launcher so not sure if any other changes. Have only lost 30% battery in 13 hours. Only have 9 background apps running and a few short calls during day and dome whatsapp usage and a couple of downloads at about 500mb each. I’m really impressed with this Nokia 6 after alot of the reviews bagging the processer.
