New Honor 9 Lite update fixes Internet APN detection bug

If you own an Honor 9 Lite (review) you might have noticed your device having some Internet APN detection issues. Well, the good news is that the company has issued an update which will take care of this problem for you.

The fix is included in the LLD-AL10 8.0.0.187 patch OTA package which has started rolling out to users as we speak. The download is only 2.98MB, so if your device is on a steady Internet connection it should be able to download it super quick.

In case you don’t know, APN stands for Access Point Name and represents the settings your phone reads to set up a connection to the gateway between your wireless provider’s network and the public Internet.

It seems that for some reason, the Honor 9 Lite had an APN settings issue. Well, the new update takes care of that, so make sure you keep an eye for the notification alerting you the update has arrived.

The Honor 9 Lite is a middle-range model from Huawei’s sub-brand which was introduced last year. The phone packs a 5.65-inch display with FHD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It’s based on a Kirin 659 processor, which is backed up by 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage.
