New Galaxy J3 2017 specs leak hints at Android 7.0 Nougat

We have long been hearing about a new budget smartphone from Samsung, the 2017 version of the handy Galaxy J3 smartphone. Well, it has popped up once again on GFXBench running the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

Listed as Samsung Galaxy J3 2017 (SM-J327), GFXBench has the detailed specsheet uploaded.

Notably, Galaxy J3 2017 was previously spotted on the same benchmarking website with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Clearly, GFXBench has updated the listing with Android 7.0 Nougat OS.

Other than the OS, the RAM gets an upgrade to 2GB from the 1.5GB from the previous 1.5GB in Galaxy J3 (2016). The native storage has also been doubled to 16GB expandable upto 32GB.

The display remains same at 5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive screen powered by a Snapdragon octa-core SoC clocked at 1.4 GHz, which should probably be either Snapdragon 425 or Snapdragon 427. The camera specs have been downgraded to 5MP/2MP combo as compared to 8MP/5MP in J3 2016.
