February 14, 2019: There is a new software update for the Motorola Moto G7 Plus available as of this writing. The official Motorola website has published the release notes, revealing that it brings January 2019 security patches, fixes bugs and improves the general system stability.
This is the device’s first software update since its launch in Brazil on February 7th, so don’t expect any significant changes or new features for that matter.

Moto G7 Plus Android Q update
- Eligible for Android Q update
- Expected to arrive in Q4 2019
The Moto G7 Plus will be upgraded to Android Q. The question is when? Well, based on what happened with the Moto G6 Plus update to Android 9 Pie, we should see the Q update arrive on the G7 Plus somewhere in Q4 2019.
Unlike its predecessor, though, we won’t be surprised if the Q update arrives a little earlier in the said quarter. It would, of course, be a welcome idea for fans. But hey, this is just us making an educated guess!
