After countless leaks and rumors the Moto Z2 Play is finally out in the open. The smartphone will first arrive to US carrier, Verizon, in July and spread later on into the unlocked variants and so on.
Not much has changed with the Moto Z2 Play, as it retains most of the specs from its predecessor. The device comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p sAMOLED display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of on board storage and a smaller 3000mAh battery. The main change is the addition of the sightly faster Snapdragon 626 SoC. The smartphone has a water-repellent nano coating, it’s not water proof but it can handle accidental water spills. The handset also comes in a 4GB RAM/64GB ROM variant.
With 2nd Gen Moto Z2 Play, Motorola seems to have put more emphasis on design and cut back on productivity, as seen from the diminished battery on board. Luckily Moto Mods will help you gain an extra spurt of battery life with the battery pack Mod. On the design front, the Z2 Play has an accent on the back of the device when compared to the Z Play.

The Moto Z2 Play will ship with stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat straight out of the box. As for the more powerful Moto Z2, it shouldn’t be long before we get to see the flagship release.
