Confirmed: Moto X Play Nougat update to come by January end

An official from Motorola just confirmed on Twitter that Android 7.0 Nougat update will be coming to Moto X Play devices in Europe by the end of this month.

The news comes from Motorola’s Deutschland twitter handle. Notably, Motorola also listed the Android 7.0 Nougat as an available upgrade for Moto X Play on their US website a few days earlier.

So far, the company has released Android 7.0 Nougat update to its Moto Z, Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus devices all over the world.

We’ll be sure to notify you of the update as and when it arrives. However, if you’re someone like us and are impatient to run Nougat on your device, you can simply install a custom ROM like Lineage OS and get the latest and greatest of Android (version 7.1.1) running on your Moto X Play right away.
