Moto G4 Nougat based TWRP Backup allows you to restore to Android 7.0

A TWRP backup of Android 7.0 Nougat is available for download in case you tried rooting your Moto G4 and it’s gone into boot loop or has too many bugs. Obviously you will need to have rooted your Moto G4 and flashed TWRP recovery for any of this to take place.

The NPJ25.9 backup file looks to be in order with no bugs or problems and works for XT1640, XT1641, XT1642 and XT1643. It’s very important that you clear your cache and Dalvik cache before you restore this backup from TWRP, else you’ll run into major problems.

Head over here to download the TWRP backup file and make sure to copy it into the TWRP backup folder. If you copy it elsewhere the file won’t show up in the TWRP restore menu.

The Moto G4 and G4 Plus got the update to Nougat back in early December. Also, full fastboot flashable firmware is available too if you’re looking to restore your Moto G4 or Moto G4 Plus to stock Android 7.0 Nougat build NPJ25.93-11.
