Mitashi joined the ranks of manufacturers retailing 50 inch smart TVs in India as it announced the Mitashi MiDE050v01 LED TV. Coming at a time when both the demand and supply for SmartTvs are in a rapid growth phase, the device will have to go through the likes of Vu, Micromax etc before it can tap into the large looking-for-SmartTV  section of consumers in the market.
Moving to the specifics, the full HD device runs Android KitKat backed by a dual core processor and 512 MB of RAM. You also get 4 GB of internal storage along with OTG support — allowing you to plug-in your mouse or keyboard as well.
Connectivity wise, you have three HDMI ports, Wi-Fi support, Ethernet port, and several USB ports — the exact number being unknown at the moment — and PC input as well.
The whole package is aggressively priced at Rs. 51,990 and is available for as low as Rs. 47,990 at e-retailer Infibeam.com. But then, aggressive pricing is nothing new for the company. If you remember, the 40 inch variant the company already sells in India costs about INR 36,990.
Well, lets see how things turn out and if the 50 inch SmartTV by Mitashi manages to come out on top of the competition its bound to face by other manufacturers very soon. Stay tuned.
