While the world is looking forward to the Galaxy Note 2 to be released next month, MetroPCS has only just announced that they will be selling the Galaxy S3 from October, two months after the device originally went on sale on other carriers in the US.
MetroPCS is also giving customers a chance to win a free Galaxy S3 by signing up on their website. The carrier doesn’t mention when exactly the device will go on sale or its price, but it’s coming next month for sure.
As for the specs, the Galaxy S3 on MetroPCS will be similar to other US carrier variants, including a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, 4.8″ Super AMOLED HD display, 2GB RAM, 16/32GB internal storage expandable via microSD, 8MP rear camera with 1080p video recording, 1.9MP front camera, 2100 mAh battery, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.1 update later this year).
