The Meizu MX2 has been known for some time to be in the making as a successor to the original MX, but the Chinese manufacturer is yet to release details on its specs or release date. However, its official announcement has now been set for November 27, and a few images of the device have leaked as well.
The MX2 was rumored to sport a 4.4″ display with a resolution of 1280 x 800, and looking at that almost edge-to-edge display in the image, it seems that Meizu finally left behind the measly 640 x 960 resolution, one of the things they seemed to love copying in their earlier devices from the iPhone, including its design, which thankfully also seems to have changed for the better.
Other specs of the MX2 have been said to include a 1.6 GHz Exynos 4412 processor (similar to the Galaxy Note 2), 2GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, 8 megapixel camera on the back, and a 1930 mAh battery, and though we haven’t seen any proof confirming those specs as of yet, we can expect them to be true considering the high-end specs Meizu loves putting in their devices.
The release date, which has been rumored be some time in January, will likely be announced at the unveiling on November 27, though we can, as always, not expect the device to reach markets outside of China.
