LG X230 to release in next few months, given thumbs up by Bluetooth SIG

Bluetooth certification agency, Bluetooth SIG, has today listed a new LG device carrying the model number LG-X230.

This device made an appearance on Geekbench in October last year. Judging by the specs, it appears to be a low end Mediatek MT6737M device running 4 cores @ 1.09 GHz and with 1 GB of RAM. It is also worth noting that the device will most probably ship with Android Marshmallow 6.0.

The above image lists out all the variants that have been cleared by the Bluetooth SIG, and that;s out hint as the type of global release LG is targeting with the X230. You have Korea dedicated X230 in LG-X230K, while the F/H variants could be international one.

One of them being LG-X230ds, which indicates that it will have a slot for an extra SIM. We’ll keep you posted as we get to know more about this device, so keep watching this space.

LG X230 release date

When a device reaches Bluetooth SIG, and is certified by them, we typically see it release within 2-3 months of that.

LG X230 shouldn’t be a exception to this, but we won’t be surprised if LG is able to release it this month itself, on in February 2017, which looks very likely.
