Looks like LG is rolling out Android Oreo beta for its LG V30. Earlier this month, we told you that the company has started accepting registrations for users to try out the beta software. And now, they are finally starting to seed the Oreo beta update in South Korea.
As you can see from the screenshot above, the Oreo beta also includes the latest November security patch. It is currently only rolling out to users in Korea, but that’s still a good thing. The update weighs around 1.2GB in size and also includes several bug fixes and other improvements.
Those who in Korea want to try out the Oreo beta on their V30, will have to sign up for the beta program using the Quick Help app on your device. You’ll find a LG OS Preview banner within the app, and that is only if LG is still accepting new members.

Usually only a limited number of users get to try out the beta first, as it will include several bugs and issues.
LG hasn’t revealed when they plan to roll out Android 8.0 for LG G6 users, but we guess it is gonna take place only after V30’s stable Oreo is out, which could be further one month away from today considering the they will need at least a month to collect feedback from beta version to iron out issues found, if any, and prepare a stable release for public. V30 is now bootloader unlock-able in Europe BTW.
LG did reveal that a stable Android 8.0 Oreo update for the V30 is planned to be released in December in Korea, and we guess it will also arrive in Europe and the US at about same time.
Today, the HTC U11 users in Europe also started receiving Oreo update, while the OnePlus 5 Oreo beta also became available few days ago — and that’s apart from the rollout of stable Android 8.0 build for the Nokia 8 and Xperia XZ and XZs. November has been pretty exciting as regards Oreo update rollout, and we hope the rest of the few days bring even more.
Update [November 27, 2017]: The V30+ users are also reporting receiving Oreo update from LG as beta in Korea. the version for V30 Plus handsets is V30019C, where the base build 19C remains same as that for V30, as the model no. of V30+ is V300L (V30 is V300K).
