LG V30 is waterproof with an IP68 rating

After being under the rumor radar for a while now, LG V30 is out of the bag. LG, today unveiled the LG V30 at IFA Berlin.

LG V30 is the third smartphone in the LG V series. The first two V series devices, the V10 and V20 came with a second screen above the primary screen. Thankfully, LG has skipped the second screen and replaced the overall screen with a beautiful OLED screen.

Other than the awesome specifications about which we are going to talk below, the LG V30 is the first device in LG V series to feature waterproof capability. It comes with an IP68 rating and is waterproof and dustproof.

The LG V30 features a 6-inch 18:9 OLED FullVision display having a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels. Inside, powerful Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory, powers the smartphone. LG V30 features a 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC, voice recognition, and face recognition.

In the camera segment, it features a dual rear camera. While the rear camera sports 16MP and 13MP lens, the front camera is of 5MP. The LG V30 will come with Android 7.1.2 preinstalled and will get Oreo update in future. It comes with DayDream support out of the box. A 3,300mAh battery provides the juice. It supports wireless charging.

While IP68 rated build makes your LG V30 water resistant, we still do not recommend you to take it to a swimming pool or a water park or under a waterfall. As for rains and spills, the LG V30 will handle them easily.
