LG Revolution 2 is Yet Another Upcoming Verizon Phone

Verizon already has Motorola Droid Bionic and HTC Vigor under its upcoming android phones belt, and there is recent surge of Droid Prime (known earlier as  Nexus Prime) too, but there is one more phone to add to this already super exciting list — which is LG Revolution 2.

The LG Revolution isn’t that old to get itself a successor but its lower spec-sheet meant it can have a successor now that the dual-core things are more common, and Verizon is betting heavily on that. An LG device with LTE radios support just cleared the FCC, codenamed LG-VS920, which lead us to believe that it’s the LG Revolution 2 indeed.

What’s confirmed is the presence of Verizon’s LTE network support but if you talk about specifications, we do expect a dual-core processor — hope for 1.5 GHz clock rates — with 1 GB RAM, and very optimistically LG’s Ultra AMOLED display. As for the software, expect no more than Android 2.3, although by the launch time of Revolution 2, the Droid Prime could be out, launching Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with it too — but that’s only if rumors are true and plan is successful. Oh, yes, size no more than 9 mm — which isn’t asking too much.

But the question is: Can LG cook the phone we want?
